Examination, Testing & Servicing

Safety Aloft offer a comprehensive PPE and LOLER examination and proof load testing service for all your working aloft PPE, fixed lifting points, loose lifting equipment, boarding ladders, padeyes and rail track systems, including rail track car servicing.

A detailed Report and Register of Thorough Examination is supplied upon completion of the examination.

The Safety Aloft team are all experienced and qualified PPE, rail track and loose lifting gear examiners. Quality procedures are ISO9001 accredited and we are full members of the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA).

Typical Examination, Testing & Training packages include:
• Working aloft PPE examination, function testing and servicing
• LOLER Examination of lifting points, slings, shackles and other loose lifting gear
• Examination and 100% tightness testing of PPE padeye and rail track fixing screws
• Examination & 6kN axial proof load test of all designated PPE padeyes
• Examination & 3 x 6kN axial proof load tests of each individual rail track section
• Rail track cars removed, inspected and ball bearings serviced (where practicable)
• 5-yearly lifting point proof load testing (where practicable)
• Examination & 8.8kN load test of 2 x Pilot Ladder rungs (currently 30 monthly)
• Non-intrusive, colour coded, equipment marking methods
• User friendly PPE and lifting gear examination database system
• Review of SOPs for safe working aloft
• Vessel specific working aloft training
