Nick Hayes

Nick has worked in the rope access industry for over 35 years and specialised in the installation and testing of EN795 safety systems. He soon established himself as one the UK’s leading service providers, installing custom designed safety systems on some of the country’s most iconic buildings and structures.

His considerable experience and reputation within the industry resulted in an invitation to join the British Standards Institute (BSI) PH/5 Technical Committee for Personal Fall Protection. The committee was responsible for developing and publishing the BS8610 standard in 2017. This British Standard was produced as a UK supplement to the 2012 EN795 standard and provides more detailed guidance and recommendations relating to the specification, installation and testing of a wide range of EN795 safety systems.

Nick joined the Safety Aloft team in 2019 and is our technical authority for EN795 and LOLER examinations. Nick is a keen rock climber, sailor and off-road motorcyclist.
